Screencasting!
This screencast demonstrates how to use the Apple application, iPhoto. He shows you how to import CDs of photos into iPhoto. He also shows you how to create new libraries for your photos. He is very clear throughout the video, which makes the instructions easier to understand.
For people who cannot just simply read instructions on how to use software or certain programs screencasts are perfect for them! You can visibly see step by step what you need to do to get done whatever it is you need! You can also learn new tricks about certain applications that would normally be fairly difficult to just explain. I have used screencasts to learn more about the use of my MacBook for many different applications.

my perspective of facebook.
MySpace
My social media experience began with MySpace, in highschool. It was the must have thing in that time. We would constantly change backgrounds or headlines. Also, your top 8 friends was a huge deal. If you didn't have someone on there, people would get angry. I was pretty heavily involved with MySpace. I like the way you could express yourself through names, headlines, and backgrounds.
Facebook
After I graduated highschool, I made a Facebook page. At first, I didn't really like it because it was more complicated than MySpace. After I figured everything out, I loved it. Eventually, I completely deleted my MySpace page. I switched because most of the college student I knew said it was what you had to have when you went to college. I would say that every single one of my friends uses Facebook. Some of them may still have MySpace, but they don't really ever check it.
My favorite "liked" page on Facebook
My favorite page that I have liked on Facebook is the Drake page. I like this page because it keeps me updated on tour dates, music, interviews, appearances, photos, and many other things about my one of my favorite musicians. Basically, this page lets you know what is going on with Drake's life and career. The page is convenient to find out about recent announcements quicker. It's an easy way to find new updates while you are already on Facebook, without have to go to another website.

my favorite video.
My favorite video consists of two of my favorite things....ESPN and Social Media. This is a video by Erik Qualman on how ESPN uses social media. I've always been extremely interested in sports. I think it's fun to see how sports broadcasting has adapted to the new developments of social media. Also, i'm a big fan of all Erik Qualman's videos.

my favorite website.
I would have to say that my favorite website would be BuzzFeed. I enjoy this website mainly for entertainment purposes. It is updated with new, funny articles daily. It also displays interesting stories about people around the world. They have articles on different celebrities as well. My favorite part of the website is the "going viral" tab. This shows you which videos, pictures, or articles are going viral on the web.
My second favorite website is Stumble Upon. This website is used to see different website that are popular or that people suggested as interesting website. I love this site because I get to see all kinds of unique website that I would not normally be able to find.
The rest of my time online is spent on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

a little about myself.
Hi! My name is Amber Jackson. I'm a senior at the University of West Georgia. My major is Mass Communication with a minor in Marketing. I'm also a member of the sorority Alpha Xi Delta. I love this school and everything it has done to help me for my future. I currently have an internship with Clear Channel Communications' radio station Project 9-6-1. My family is from Minnesota and we are all HUGE Vikings fans. I also love the Georgia Bulldogs. I'm a sports fanatic, which is why it has been my dream to work in sports broadcasting.
The social media websites that I currently use are Facebook and Twitter. I also use YouTube frequently. I have a separate (personal) blog besides this one. I love using social media. I think that it is an important part of communication for business. It can be a vital part of the success of a business. Several times a week, I visit Socialnomics, a blog/wesbite by Erik Qualman. He writes about different issues and topics going on with the world of social media. I find it very interesting to see how the social media world is developing because my generation is right in the middle of it. We have seen it grow from the very beginning. I mainly use social media to connect with friends, but I believe it can be a key part in growing a business and reaching consumers.
